Applying for the grant, collecting and distributing the assets
The exact cost will depend on the individual circumstances of the matter. For example, if there is one beneficiary, costs will be at the lower end of the range. If there are multiple beneficiaries, multiple properties and multiple bank accounts, costs will be at the higher end, unless agreed frees, all probate matter will be charged on hourly rate.
We will handle the full process for you. This quote is for estates where:
- There is a valid will
- There is no more than one property
- There are no more than X bank or building society accounts
- There are no other intangible assets
- There are X-X beneficiaries
- There are no disputes between beneficiaries on division of assets. If disputes arise this is likely to lead to an increase in costs
- There is no inheritance tax payable and the executors do not need to submit a full account to HMRC
- There are no claims made against the estate

Disbursements
All disbursements will need to be paid in addition to the fees charged. These costs are related to your matter which are payable to third parties such as Probate Court fees. We handle the payment of disbursements on your behalf to ensure a smoother process.
Timescales
On average the administration of a simple estates is normally dealt with within six months, but this could vary depending on complexity.
However, we do recommend that you telephone us to discuss your matter further as the above schedule on Costs and Time should be used as a guide only.

Our fee includes:
• Taking your instructions and reviewing documentation
• Undertaking appropriate researches
• Sending a letter before action
• Drafting and issuing claim, dealing with the defence and conducting further work
• Where no Acknowledgment of Service or Defence is received, applying to the court to enter Judgement in default
• When Judgement in default in received, write to the other side to request payment
Disbursements

- the number and importance of the documents considered;
- whether the business was carried out at the office in normal office hours or not;
- whether a third party may get involved or engaged

The fees quoted below will be varied depending on the complexity of your case and its individual merits. This will also depend on the need to involve third parties such as Experts, Interpreters, Barristers and others, if necessary.
In certain circumstances we can offer to represent you for less on a fixed fee basis which will decrease the cost substantially. However, this is dependent on the factual background and each case is assessed on its own merits.
We strongly advise that Clients treat the schedule below as an indicative of the likely fees rather than the guaranteed final price.

On average, this type of work takes between 2-4 weeks to complete. All figures exclude VAT unless specifically stated.

Disbursements
In addition to our fees, any disbursements will need to be paid separately. Examples of disbursements include, Home Office fees which differs for each type of case, Expert Report fees, Interpretation Services, Court Applications etc. Please note that this is not an exhaustive list and is meant as a guide only.
